Royal British Legion in Hondón:::
Tuesday, June 29th, 2010On the morning of Sunday 11th April around 30 members and friends of the Royal British Legion assembled in Hondón de los Frailes for the regular Poppy Walk.
The weather was warm, sunny and calm and gave great opportunities for good photographs of the surroundings. There was a mountain walk of 5k and also a 10k route for those more serious walkers in the group. The views were amazing, down to the coast on one side and then over the Hondón valley.
The Hondón Valley Branch meet on the third Tuesday of each month at Restaurante Monte Alto, Polígono Industrial, Hondón de las Nieves at 7.15 p.m. Following the more formal part of the meeting, members and visitors are entertained with a varied social evening.

Anyone is very welcome to join a Branch – You do not need an Armed Forces background to enjoy the many social events and trips arranged, together with supporting the RBL objectives of fundraising and assisting members and dependants of Armed Forces people resident in Spain.

The Hondon Valley has a tasty new service that everyone can enjoy… 
Well Chris at ESPORT I SALUT (main church street in Hondon De Los Frailes) opposite the Chemist has set-up a small & neat, but well equipped Gym and Weights Room. He has various membership / monthly payment options and will ‘induct’ you into the ways of the machines – very easy actually ! Chris knows a lot about fitness and is on hand for help and advice. He’ll also do personal training, massage, Sports Therapy and more… all good stuff !
